Beskrivelse 

This 5-day intensive instructor-led course is designed to provide engineers involved in deployment of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) B-Series Blade Servers and Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Servers with the knowledge and skills required execute a virtualisation solution based on a detailed implementation plan. Delegates will be able to install, provision server hardware, operating systems, hypervisors and applications. Management, maintenance and troubleshooting aspects are incorporated into this course.



Delegates are expected to have an understanding of the UCS product family before arriving in class, and will be provided with links to e-learning content, which needs to be completedprior to attendance ( approx 10 hours).


Forudsætninger

Attendees should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Understanding of Cisco Enterprise Data Center Architecture and Server System design.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet and TCP/IP networking
  • Familiarity with SANs and Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP)
  • Familiarity with hypervisor technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V,Citrix Xen)
  • Prior Attendance of DCUFI and ICSNS is recommended

This exam is required for individuals looking to achieve the Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Support Specialist. Please note that VCP certification is also required to obtain this accreditation. VSICM attendance is recommeneded.

Recertification

Complete one of the following recertification options every two years:

  • Re-take and pass all exams for each Specialist certification indicated on the specific certification page. Please note: this includes ALL exams whether refreshed or not.
  • Pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam

Achieving or recertifying CCDE or any CCIE automatically extends your active Specialist certification(s) up to the point of expiration of the last certification achieved.
