This certification is
intended for pre-sales and post-sales network engineers involved in
the
network design, planning and implementation.
Overview
The CCDA certification (Cisco Certified Design Associate) indicates
foundation knowledge of
network design for the Cisco Internetwork Infrastructure.
CCDA certified professionals can design routed and switched network
infrastructures involving
LAN, WAN, and dial access services for businesses and
organisations.
Prerequisites
Knowledge and skills to install, configure, and operate small
networks. CCNA and BCMSN level knowledge is needed to prepare for
the CCDA certification exam.
Requirements
Last date to take 640-861
Exam is 13th of July 2007
Re-certification
CCDA certifications are valid for three years. To re-certify, pass
the current certification exam, or a Cisco Qualified Specialist
exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or any Professional level
exam bearing a prefix 642, or pass a CCIE written exam on or after
October 1, 2004.
Advancing to the next level or recertifying at the Professional
level automatically renews all related Associate level
certifications.
