Mastering System Center Orchestrator

Next version of System Center
Orchestrator will be released first half of 2012, but already now
can you get a solid training on its new features as well as the
upgrade path from earlier version.
This course is intended for Enterprise Systems Engineers,
Administrators and System Integrators who need to implement a
Dynamic Datacenter using System Center Orchestrator 2012 Beta
(SCORCH). It will be based on the latest available version (RC or
RTM).
After completing this course, students will be able
to:
- Install and Configure System Center Orchestrator 2012 Beta
including SQL Server 2008 R2 Permissions

- Describe the logical architecture of an SCORCH
infrastructure
|
- Articulate the functions of the components and services in an
SCORCH infrastructure
|
- Configure error handling in SCORCH policies
|
- Configure error handling in SCORCH policies
|
- Troubleshoot issues with SCORCH components and SCORCH policy
execution
|
- Design end-to-end process automation incorporating System
Center products
|
- Use the Silverlight operator’s console
|
- Use the REST web service for integration into other software
(Excel-PowerPivot etc.)
|
- Create Integration Pack with QIK and PowerShell
|
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students
must have experience with Windows Server 2008
Administration
and Basic understanding of Active Directory
In addition to this it is a really good idea if you are familiar
with:
- Configuration Manager 2007 R2
- Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2
- Operations Manager 2007 R2
- Service Manager 2012
- Virtualization Technologies: Hyper-V and Windows Server 2008

- The basics of PowerShell
